Electric Swimming Pool Heaters
The electric heater will operate at the same time as the daily filtration period of about eight to ten hours. The control circuits measure the temperature of the pool water and supplies just the right amount of heat to ensure that the pool is up to the desired temperature. To ensure maximum efficiency from your heater Thermalec recommend using a combination of: Economy 7 electricity tariff and a good solar cover, to minimize heat loss when the pool is not in use.
The electric heater itself consists of a number of immersion elements placed inside a heater vessel. Unlike other forms of heating which rely on heat transfer from an external source such as a boiler, there can be no drop in efficiency throughout its life due to scale formation.
Being simple, reliable, devices, electric flow heaters are straight forward to, install and offer overall running costs comparable with other heating methods. It is important that the correct size heater (measured in kW) is specified, based upon the volume, location and desired temperature of the pool.
The compact size, of an electric flow heater means that it can be conveniently sited alongside the filter pump and other equipment. Electricity as a heating option is ideal if space or noise is an issue.
