Power First
Power First is the latest innovation in the range of Zodiac heat pumps. Utilising the technical excellence of previous models and combining them with new technology Zodiac have developed one of the most efficient and quiet heat pumps on the market.

With five single phase models the Zodiac Power First’s are able to cater for pools up to 100m3 with a COP of up to 5.

EDEN PAC
Top of the range units designed for either pool owners who would like to heat their pools over an extended season or for larger pools up to 200m3 the Eden Pac range completes the Zodiac Heat Pump coverage. The “all season” models are capable of creating usable heat down to a temperature of -7 deg C perfect for the colder spring and autumn months. ISPE or Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers was set up in 1978 to establish an organisation for  individual swimming pool engineers to develop their skills and techniques throughout the swimming pool sector and give them a recognision for their skills and techniques.

The 96th One Day seminar took place at the Watermill Hotel, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. The theme to the day was Common Misconceptions and How to Avoid Them. Filter Strip-down & Re-build.

The ISPE team demonstrated the correct strip down and reassembly of a sand filter. Pointing out tips and tricks on the way. They also explained the risks and dangers that are found whilst performing the filter servicing.

There were talks about different bugs and germs that are found whilst working with the pool and its filters and what the engineer can do to best protect themselves and the end swimming pool user.

Throughout the day they answered many questions about hurdles the team have come up aginest whilst being out on the road.

Nathaniel competes in the 750 Motor Club, 750 Formula which is a national series competed on all of the top UK circuits.

The 2010 season of the 750 Motor Clubs, 750 formula started with a very wet race at Snetterton National Circuit, Norfolk.

Nathaniel,who is a highly tipped contender for this years crown, has been working on the car through the winter for the first race of the season.

The race was on a very wet and slippery Snetterton Circuit. Nathaniel led the race for the first 3 corners until his brakes overheated and the bias of the brakes switched to the rear, which caused him to spin. Nathaniel managed to rejoin the field and hold onto the spot until the chequred flag.

Nathaniel who has been working for Deep End Pools for several months spoke after the race of the brakes overheating and being on slicks in the wet being his biggest problems of the day, but was still extremely happy with the result.

Deep End Pools, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, have confirmed six swimming pool constructions in early 2010.

The constructions are due to commence in the next few weeks in Beaconsfield, Seer Green, Aylesbury, Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire and Wargrave, Berkshire.

To say we have started 2010 off to a running start is a massive understatement.

The Certikin display swimming pool set up really shows of the quality and level of finish that the Endless Summer Enclosure and Endless Summer Pool has. The Enclosure was installed over a two period allowing for a top quality finish that is second to none.

This is the enclosure in the open position allowing for an open air swimming pool on nice days when you would like to have the feeling of fresh air whilst swimming. A little about Jacuzzi.

The original hydrotherapy jet was invented by the Jacuzzi brothers in 1956.

Around the turn of the century, seven Jacuzzi brothers immigrated to California from Italy.

In 1956, an idea was born. Why not treat a family member’s arthritis with a hydrotherapy pump. The Jacuzzi brothers invented a pump and a small niche business was born. The J-300, a portable pump, was sold to hospitals and schools.

This innovative spirit was captured by Roy Jacuzzi, a third generation family member who had begun learning the business as a teenager. Sensing the American consumer’s interest in health, fitness and leisure activities, Roy invented and marketed the first self-contained, fully integrated whirlpool bath in 1968. By incorporating body jets into the sides of the tub, it became the bath that almost single-handedly created an industry.
   
As larger units were designed to accommodate more people, Jacuzzi incorporated heating and filtration systems to keep the water warm and clean, thus creating the first hot tub in 1970. Hot tubs, unlike the whirlpool baths, could be used outside with this heating system. In 1979, the family sold the business to New York based Kidde Inc. All the family members left the business, except for Roy, who stayed on to run the Jacuzzi operations.

In 1990, Roy Jacuzzi was placed in the National Kitchen and Bath Hall of Fame in the USA, recognising him for his many contributions in the innovation of Hydrotherapy for home use.
